I began my artistic career in the early 1990's as a street artist in London where I would do caricatures of tourists and visitors to the West End. It honed not just my skill as a cartoonist but also as a portrait artist where skill and speed were essential - after all 'time is money' and if an artist spent too long on a portrait then they would have meagre financial reward for the extremely hard effort of working on the street.
So, I decided early on that to make a decent income I would do caricatures instead. and pursued a career street artist for a about 2 years before returning a professional career in the telecommunications industry. When I retired from my professional career in the early 2000's, I returned to being a street artist once again for a short time before establishing a successful restoration business then a very successful professional portrait artist I am today.
Nowadays, I still carry out a lot of caricature work but from the comfort of my studio! So, if you have a member of the family, work colleague or friends you would like to gift an amusing caricature please make contact me via the Contact page and I will be more happy to create a caricature that will be treasured for always as well as bring a few laughs as well.
