Newry Reporter Article 11th August 2021 - What it says.....

 Bruno Patron is half northern Irish from his mother’s side. He is a professional artist and restorer living in Bessbrook. He studied Fine Art at Wimbledon Art School and Gloucestershire University between 1979 and 1983. On leaving his education he maintained a successful career in telecommunications for 25 years in the mobile phone and early internet industries working for Cable & Wireless, BT and operated his own successful telecommunications business before becoming a professional portrait artist in 2005. 

In 2011 he became a restorer for the construction industry working on large restoration projects in the UK including BBC TV Centre and Battersea Power Station. 

Bruno Patron’s proudest artistic moment was to be commissioned to paint Seamus Mallon’s portrait in 2006 and continues to be commissioned to paint portraits by private clients to this day. He has also spent the past four years painting an artistic depiction of the Peace Wall in Cupar Way, Belfast and is due to exhibit this work in 2022. He has also painted several panoramic paintings of Derry, Newry and Bernish viewpoint.
